Pride of Singapore - Singapore River:

Boat Quay:
Boat Quay is a historical quay in Singapore which is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore river on its southern bank. It was the busiest part of the old Port of Singapore, handling three quarters of all shipping business during the 1860s the shophouses on it have been carefully conserved and now house various bars, pubs and restaurants.
If you`re looking forward for a fun night out,Boat Quay is the place. It is the trailblazer of entertainment scene in Singapore. With a mixture of high end restaurants and alfresco dining, lively pub&bars, this is the favourite place to hang-out and relax.

Clarke Quay:Clarke Quay is still buzzing with life and activity. The waterfront now plays host to a colourful number of restaurants, wine bars, entertainment spots and retail shops. The bustling market atmosphere of the days comes alive amidst the rows of charming shophouses, and five-foot-way merchants.
Shop, eat and be entertained by the riverside! Featuring five blocks of restored warehouses, Clarke Quay offers a quirky alternative to mainstream attractions, with second-hand and antique shops, flea markets and restaurants with an amazing array of F&B options. In the evenings, dance clubs and pubs come alive with music from the 1960s to the present.

Getting there:Raffles or Clarke Quay MRT station.

What I like about Singapore:
It is said that this tiny city is one of the cleanest and greenest country on Earth.
We don`t have polluted air and only breathe in clean oxygen.Other than that, the tap water is clean enough to drink it straight from the tap itself.

Singapore also consists of a multiracial group. Its like a mixture of India,Malaysia and China all living in one small city.Apart from that, the transport system is also one of the finest.

Happening places to shop:

Hajilane:

Straits Records:
This is the place for alternative music. Straits Records, an independent music store carries hip-hop, hard core, indie records and other genres. The store's American-flag, red and white-striped facade makes it one of the most striking landmark along Haji Lane.

White Room:
The walls framing a small show window outside this ground floor shophouse are painted black, but step inside the shop and you'll be greeted by a pristine white interior.
Designed to be a "raw canvas", the White Room is a lifestyle retail shop that carries upmarket labels like Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones and Japanese brands Undercover and HeadPorter.
New labels are brought in regularly and there is also a small gallery that showcases the works of local designers and artists.

For vintage lovers this is the exact place to shop.
Do visit it.Its one of a kind.Better than Orchard Road i`d say.
